In relation to the theme of Corporate Social Responsibility and the international reference standard SA8000, in order to promote knowledge and involve all stakeholders in the actions carried out in this area by DE MASI S.r.l., we present some information notes, together with a brief update on the management system adopted by the company.
STANDARD SA 8000
It is a voluntary international standard that indicates a series of requirements that a company or, in general, an organization must comply with in order to be recognized as a “socially responsible” company/organization. By observing this standard, compliance with a series of fundamental rules is guaranteed, mainly relating to work ethics, environmental protection and community well-being.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
It is a way of doing business in which the company’s attention is not only focused on achieving economic objectives, but also on social and environmental objectives. As a result, when evaluating the results achieved by the company, not only economic data will be considered, but also the contribution that it makes on a social and environmental level, taking care of the quality of relationships with its employees, suppliers, customers, the community and institutions.
